I have a folder full of pictures, that I display as thumbnails, and I would like its background to be black, but still keep other folders, that are displayed as lists, with the usual white.
Is there a way to have different color setups in different listers, or even in different folder tabs?
Go to the folder, then Tools -> Folder Options and the last tab, Options. There you can set a background image and/or colour. Then use Save -> For This Folder or For This Folder and All Sub-Folders.
