Directory Opus

Following hard on the heels of the official 8.1 release, a minor update is now available for download from the GPSoftware website:

Changes - 30th April 2005

  • Fixed problem where the 'Image is inherited by submenus' option for toolbars was not being preserved

  • Fixed crash caused by Join command when no output path was specified

  • Clicking on a folder tab or double-clicking to open a new one now sets that side of a dual-display Lister to source. Can be disabled by creating registry variable:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\Config\User
    (String) TabClickNoFocus = ""

  • Context menu extension for PC Mag utility "ContextMenuPlus" now disabled in Opus because it caused us to lock up.

  • It is now possible to disable context menu extensions in Opus by creating a registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\IgnoreContextHandlers

Under that key, add string values, the names of which are the context menu extension's CLSID

  • It is now possible to set the registry variable:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GPSoftware\Directory Opus
    (String) ContextMenuDbg = ""

If this is set Opus will display a debug printout of all third-party context menu extensions as they are
invoked (when pressing the right mouse button on a file or folder). If you have a context menu problem this should let you identify which context menu extension is causing the trouble, and you could then add its CLSID to the ignore list as above if desired.

  • The pdfactivex viewer plugin now tries to prevent the Acrobat Reader from stealing focus away from the Lister when it is activated

  • Fixed problem with recycle bin status display in Preferences in the Unicode version

  • Fixed problem with Find & Replace Rename when filename began with a . and had no extension (eg .htaccess)
