Directory Opus Freezes When Dragging Files Over Disconnected Network Folders

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing an annoying issue with Directory Opus 13 and would appreciate any advice or solutions you might have.

Problem Description:
When I’m using Directory Opus and dragging a file and I accidentally hover over a disconnected network folder shortcut, the program freezes. When this happens, Directory Opus freezes for several seconds, apparently trying to access or retrieve information from the disconnected folder.

I'm using the latest version of Directory Opus 13.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?
Are there other settings or configurations I might try to prevent Directory Opus from freezing when encountering disconnected network folders?
Any other tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

I've made a note to look at that scenario to see if we can avoid it.

But Windows is generally very bad at dealing with any request that involves an inaccessible network server, sometimes blocking the request for up to 30 seconds. So, if possible, I'd also avoid having shortcuts pointing to network drives that aren't always there. They can cause problems both in and out of Opus, File Explorer, etc.
