What I would like to do is turn off 2 or 3 toolbars in a custom lister I have made and replace them with 2 custom toolbars.
Hell easy, right?
Yes it is, but what I don't want is those changes to be reflected in other listers that are currently open or will be opened in the future. Is this possible, or is toolbar visibility a global on/off concept?
At the moment you can turn on "local" toolbars that only appear in certain windows, but you can't turn off the main "global" toolbars without affecting all windows.
Thank you very much for the clarification. Is the possibility of making toolbars with a global/independent property in the future?
i.e. you can toggle whether making a toolbar visible or not affects only the current lister, or the status is reflected in all listers.
I think this would be quite useful, for example, in the custom layout I created for my search results lister, except for say, Select All, Rename, Copy, Move, all other buttons are redundant. The Location and Drives Toolbars are not required. This new selection of modified toolbar and toggled toolbars is only visible in the listers I desire. The state of the toolbars is not reflected in any other listers I may already have, or may open.
I hope i have explained my idea clearly enough. I can understand from a developers point of view not to implement this if there is no need, but could you please take a ponder and see if may be added if it proves not too difficult to implement?
