Display just the list of layouts?

How can I display a menu of the available Lister-Layouts (just the list of layouts to select from, without the Editing option)?

Customize -> Commands -> Settings -> drag Saved Layouts - Drop-Down to the menu bar.

Thanks, but that's what I wanted to avoid: To have to manually build the list of layouts. What I want is a menu which automatically displays my saved layouts, nothing more.

I think you're misunderstanding. "Saved Layouts - Drop-Down" is one item you can drag to the menu bar. It will show a dropdown of all your saved layouts.
