Displaying Codec Information for .mpg files

I cannot get DOpus to display this information for this type of file, although it does so for many others including .avi and .wmv.

I have searched this forum and following that set media player to be the default player for this type. Checked the mime information. Reinstalled DOpus but I still cannot get the codec information to be displayed. Files play OK with the built in player and codec information is given by MediaInfo.

Help - Please.

(There is a reference in one of the forum postings to a missing registry entry - but as far as I can see no one actually says what it is)

I think the other threads are about problems some people had with playing mpeg video inside of Opus.

While Opus can play MPEG video, as far as I know it doesn't show the dimensions (etc.) information in the file list for them as it does for AVI files. At least, it doesn't on either of my machines.

Seems like a good feature request, though. Someone could also add this functionality by writing a plugin (similar to my plugin for showing information on Ogg and FLAC music files, but for MPEGs).
