I just downloaded the mentioned beta release and after reboot, DO told me about the license being expired.
I think this is ok, since I still used the beta license on this computer. I then went to the gpsoft homepage to get a new evaluation certificate and I installed that one.
After the cert was in place, DO struggles to come up as usual. It crashes continuously, I already renamed the "script addins" folder to rule out anything script related, but it doesn't make a difference.
Attached you'll find a mini dump. Notice it is not a zip (just remove this extension).
I didn't know how to create a zip without DO and I also have no dedicated archiving tool installed.

12.2.1 beta introduced a bug where using a filter with a Script Column clause will crash the program.
I've fixed the bug, thanks to your report and crash dump, and the fix will be in the 12.2.2 beta.
For now, I'd recommend dropping back to 12.2 stable until 12.2.2 is out. (If there is something in 12.2.1 that you want to try ASAP without waiting, removing the Script Column clause from any filters should avoid the crash. It looks like it is one of your label-filters that is triggering the crash, but there may be others.)
