DO for Mac?

Haven't tried Parallels but through CrossOver I have issues with D.O. can't run properly on arm M1max Tahoe 26.3

Yeah, it doesn't run with crossover at all. Crossover is actually kind of terrible in my opinion. A lot of software doesn't work properly.

I would rather just pay for Parallels and use that. It just works so much better. Prism emulation is quite good these days, and Apple's hardware doesn't break a sweat running x86 Windows applications.

I'm still using Parallels Desktop 20 Pro Edition, because I have a perpetual license for that.
It is still working fine on macOS 26.3 Tahoe with up-to-date Windows 11 25H2.
It will be interesting to see when it starts to fail.

Actually, Parallels even cost less than Crossover :man_shrugging:

And which version of Crossover? They just introduced v26.

Yes, the interface is a bit wonky.

Yes, same happened here. I haven't tried it with v26 yet.

Honestly, I think when it comes to crossover versus parallels, I would rather go with parallels if I have the RAM. In my case, memory is not an issue and everything just runs so much better. Coherence mode really works quite well and honestly both are a subscription. You have to pay annually for each one, so it's six of one, half a dozen the other.

I actually have a .edu email still, so I was able to get a student discount on Parallels. Given how expensive it is, I really don't care that I utilized that. Normally I don't do that, but with such a big company charging so much for a subscription, I really don't care. I would never do that with a small developer like GPSoftware. But Parallels, too bad.

Also, as an aside, if you want stability in a file manager native to Mac, go with ForkLift. Avoid Pathfinder. It's powerful, but not very well developed.

I would possibly go that way, but I'm on Linux, not Mac.

Haven't tried it myself, just in case it hasn't been mentioned before, for Mac there is also QSpace Pro.

..and CRAX Commander for Mac..
