Just cuz it could get lost in the other thread where I mentioned it...
It looks like the 'Calculate folder sizes automatically' Prefs option treats the root of Libraries as 'network' paths. At least, the only time it works for the root of a lib is when you set the option to 'All local and network drives'. At least... here.
