DO11: Sorting the list of hotkeys in "Customise"

The new grouping in "Customise - - > Keys" has eliminated the previous ability to sort all the keys alphabetically. When adding a new key, one now has to check three or four groups to see if the keypress has already been defined.

Similarly, depending on the configuration, even the global hotkeys may appear in two different groups.

My vote is to go back to the previous five-column layout, which was extremely easy to use. If the ability to sort on successive columns using "Ctrl" were added, as in the lister's columns, we would then have complete flexibility.

An alternative would be a switch that turns the grouping off and on.

[Other software has far more serious versions of this problem, because the hotkeys are typically hidden in drop-down menus, with no full list at all.]

If you want to see if a key is in use, type the key into the filter at the bottom (making sure it's in the mode which searches for hotkeys and not names).

Thanks, Leo. Yet another detail making DOpus so much more user-friendly than the other software I mentioned. I did know about that facility — it's okay for single items, but doesn't help when looking at the full list of what keys have been used and what not. My argument is that using column-sorting, we already had grouping in DOpus 10, but we had other flexibility as well.

I reckon you will all be extremely glad at Mission Control when BetaTime is finally over!
