DO9 opens window in new instance

at first, sorry for my English but I'm not a native speaker...
so... I have problem with Directory Opus in version 9.0.0.4,
because of when I want ot open removable media, for example pendrive or other flash card, DO9 opens new instance of Windows Explorer...
but I want to open in Directory Opus...
I have set DO9 as default handler for all folders...
My OS is Windows Media Center 2005,
what is wrong :question: please, help me :frowning:

I am not sure if this is the same problem you are having but check the settings on this thread and see if it works.

It starts off dealing with zip files but also addresses the smae problem with folders on the desktop. One setting was incorrect and once I changed it my problems seemed to resolve themselves.

I hope this helps :smiley:

How are you opening the devices?

I open my devices the same as all other folders, by clicking in My computer in DO...
when I click by right mouse button and choose 'Open in Directory Opus', everything is OK...
but when I choose 'Open(O)' or by double clicking on folder, DO opens new window...
after second restart of my computer, happens something strange...
now DO opus doesn't opens new instance of Windows Explorer but opens new window of DO...
it's better... but I want to open folder in the same window and panel of DO... :unamused:

there are two screenshots: how to looks like my submenu of DO9 when I clicking on hard drive and portable media...

I know...

I think, I had a virus in my computer: Trojan.Win32.VB.aqt in file ctfmon.exe
My AOL Active Virus Shield found this trojan... :imp:
I cleaned my system and I removed file autorun.inf from every portable media :smiling_imp: (I don't know how to these files were created),
file contained:

[autorun]
shellexecute=Recycled\Recycled\ctfmon.exe
shell\Open(&O)\command=Recycled\Recycled\ctfmon.exe
shell=Open(&0)

I had ctfmon.exe in autorun section too...

Now, is OK... thanks for help :wink:

That explains it. Thanks for letting us know as it means we don't have to worry about it and have something to suggest to other people if they experience the same problem.
