I just installed latest Directory Opus 10 trial, and would like to try the program incase i want to buy it, but im facing this weird problem. Everything works nice and smooth for couple of minutes, but after that the filenames change! Like folder Program Files goes to PROGRA~1 ... I attach the image of folder view where you can see how it acts.
Im running Dopus on Win 7 x64. How this can be fixed?
The only known cause of that is trying to bypass the copy protection (or using a pirate version in the past and not undoing all the things it did, etc.).
Oh... Is that so? We'll, as far as i know, there shouldn't be any earlier traces of Directory opus. But i can't say for sure, because i got this laptop used...
Is there anyway to get rid of this problem or does i have to face the fact that i can't use Dopus?
It's surprising how many people seem to buy second-hand laptops that happened to have pirate copies of Opus on them, and then don't think to reinstall Windows to get a clean computer (who knows what else is on that old Windows install, like viruses etc.?)...
Anyway, for assistance working out what is causing the error, please go to GPSoftware: Support Request; your evaluation certificate can be used to create a support request as long as it has not expired yet.
Well, i was said that it has fresh installed windows in it, but who knows, maybe it's only cleaned. It's from a cousin of mine, so i don't have a reason why not to believe him. I know the windows isn't really official, but that shouldn't affect to the dopus, right?
Yeah, well i got my certificate yesterday, so i believe it's still valid...
Thanks alot leo for your help. Hope the guys from support can figure this one out!
