DOpus hangs on opening prefs

Hi,

when DOpus has not been opened yet (after reboot no DOpus window has been opened) and I try to enter the prefs by starting Directory Opus Customize through the windoze system settings sometimes the DOpus task hangs with 100% core activity.

But it works okay if Opus is already running?

Does right-clicking the Desktop and choosing Opus Preferences cause the same problem, or is it only when launched via Control Panel?

Hi Leo,

all other methods are working fine. The problem only occurs when started via control panel and dopus ist not already running.

Which version of Windows are you using? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Vista 32 bit
Asus V1s notebook with 3 GB RAM

This sounds as if you can't reproduce this? Have you tried reproducing it directly after reboot?

I can't reproduce it, even after a reboot. I've tried on two machines (both 32-bit, one Vista an the other Windows 2000).

There was a bug with the control panel icons but it was fixed back in May 2007 (version 9.0.0.1). Aside from that I've not heard of any problems, though I imagine very few people open prefs/customize via the control panel, which makes problems less likely to be noticed/reported, I guess
