IE7 on Vista seems okay to me, although there's a bit of a delay before IE's progress dialog can be closed for some reason. Next time I'm on XP I'll try there as well.
Which folder are you downloading to? (I've only tried Desktop so far.)
What's your setup under Settings -> Preferences -> Launching Opus -> Explorer Replacement? (Mine's set to Replace Explorer for all file system folders.)
If you go to Settings -> Preferences -> Miscellaneous -> Advanced, check that global_explorer_replacement is turned off. (It should be off by default.)
Try turning off the Explorer Replacement option in Opus, then OK the Preferences dialog. Then open the Preferences dialog again, turn the option back on, then OK the Preferences dialog once again.
That should cause Opus to re-write the relevant registry settings. Perhaps they've been damaged.
Can I save only the settings for 3 lister layouts and their formats. If so I can reinstall or reset Dopus. At the very least it might point to what is happening or in this case what is not happening
Easiest thing to do is backup all your settings using Settings -> Backup & Restore, then try the reinstall. If it fixes it we can try to work out what the setting difference was by comparing the old & new configs. If it doesn't make a difference then you can reimport your old config and you won't have lost anything.
Because each PC's configuration is different it would seem that one of the latest Updates from Microsoft removed or reconfigured some of my IE7 settings (apparently Microsoft doesn't like the way I configure services and security) - don't know exactly which one.
I removed the last lot of IE7 updates and all is well; Dopus is behaving just the way it did prior to the updates
