I've realized that when I drag and drop a folder from the lister to "Favorites" in the tree, it does show the tooltip "add to favorites", but the folder is not added. I can only add the folder via Preferences > Favorites List. Not a big issue, but might be a bug. Directory Opus 13.14 on Windows 10.
Update: I do have the favorites bar enabled as well (showing the same items), and drag and drop to the favorites bar works. The added item is then also shown in the favorites sidebar.
I've tried hiding the favorites bar, but that does not change that dragging to Favorites sidebar does not work.
@lxp, the dragged item is not added, also not at the end.
I have (quite) the same behaviour.
Adding a favorites "at the root" of the favorites in the tree is not working. But adding it in a subfolder of the favorites in the tree (or directly to the favorites bar, which is a subfolder of the favorites) works.
dragging a folder ("complete") from the lister to a folder that's already in favorites ("eBooks"), DOpus offers to copy the folder (not adding it to favorites):
dragging a folder ("complete") from the lister to a branch that I've added via "Preferences > Favorites List", Dopus does not offer any action:
Yes, I observed the same bug. It shows "add to favorites" but does nothing.
I also found it annoying that you can't reorder the favorite items directly in the folder tree like you can with Windows File explorer.
If this feature finally works, I can temporarily add the folders I'm currently working on to the favorites in folder tree, and maybe remove them quickly after working with them.
For that kind of workflow Favorites Toolbar is pretty handy IMHO.
Or you can create some kind of WIP folder in the Favorites where you will be able to drag folders (only draging to the root has the "issue").
