Drag and drop ordering of image files within folders

I'd like to reorder image files within folders by dragging and dropping them, then use Opus's rename command to rename them so they keep the new ordering. Is there a way to do this or a plug-in that might help?

There isn't a good way. Files are always ordered according to some criteria (one or more of the available columns that can be displayed). You can reorder them arbitrarily by setting the data in one of the columns to get the order you want (e.g. setting the Descriptions to 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. and then sorting by that column), but there's no way to do it by simply dragging files around.

You can make a button which would set each file's description (or timestamp or similar) to an increasing number, then use that on each file (or group of files) in turn to make things a bit better, but it still wouldn't let you drag things around to set the order.

OK, thanks for the info. I know Opus is much more general than an image organizer, but this might be a feature for Opus 11.
