Drag & drop from protected ZIP file generates 0 byte files

When I access a password protected ZIP file and drag & drop the file to the desktop, the password entry dialogue appears and the file is extracted, but the result is 0 byte.

Anyone has the same issue?

I'm on Windows 7, 32-bit using the latest version of Directory Opus (9.5.2.0).

Is Opus able to extract the same file normally?

If I extract the ZIP directly, an error occurs: "An error occurred copying 'xxx'. ZIP Error 42 (18)."

The ZIP file has been compressed using Powerarchiver 2010 using encryption and password protection. Is DOpus perhaps not able to handle encrypted ZIP files? May that be the cause?

What archive tool did you use to create the zip file, and what sort of encryption was used?

This happens when the zip file is password protected with a type of encryption that I suppose the zip lib used by Opus doesn't understand.

For instance, if I use PowerArchiver to zip files up with PK AES-128 bit encryption... dopus prompts for the password when trying to copy a file, but then prompts me again. I hit and end up with a 0 byte file...

Alright, that's the one. I used the encryption you mentioned. Will this be supported one day?

That's a question for GPSoft.

GPSoft will consider this feature for their next major release. I'll be patient
