When dragging files from a lister to a rename droplet or another seperate lister the drag is frozen for a few seconds if I move across a tree item
Does it depend on what the tree item is? It shouldn't normally do that, but there might be an issue with particular items (especially if they cause a shell extension to be invoked, or if they point to a network server that is unreachable).
It happens on any tree item
If the delay is long enough to give you time to click a few things, you could try making some process snapshots while the delay is happening and send them to us:
Using ShellExView 64-bit to disable all Drag & Drop Handler and Drop Handler shell extensions may also be worth a try. (Sort by Type, select the extensions, then right-click to disable them. After testing, enable them again in the same way.)
Please try to make the snapshots, if the delay is long enough to do so.
