Duplicate file name after edit file

Hi
More an FYI as only since last update.
I am using Version 12.6 x64 and if I open a file, edit and save I see a duplicate file in the file list one with the original file and old date and the new one with the the new date, bit confusing. If I navigate up a folder and come back only the new one exists.

Do you see this in all folders or only a particular one, or type of folder? (e.g. Network drives, Libraries, Collections, Zip files.)

Hi Leo,
Can be any folder, even over the network, I have not tried in a zip as yet. I am running on a Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview Build 16251.rs3 but I noticed it prior to the recent build received from Microsoft.

So if you edit a text file in the desktop folder using Notepad, it happens with that?

Does anything similar happen in File Explorer?

Hi Leo,
I just tried as you said above and it did not happen, so I tried as I originally stated and you would not believe it no problem now. Got me what was happening, the mysteries of windows 10????
