Does anyone have experience or opinion about good duplicate photo software?

I always go through and test various ones, then end up back on VisiPics. It's old, but very fast, stable, and accurate (Not to mention free). It doesn't handle the newest formats because of age, but for standard formats, I have yet to find one better. This is in terms of accuracy, speed, and the ability to rapidly select the correct ones for deletion, including if you need to do it by hand (Many of the other options are awful at this).
After it has scanned the pics, you can also change the filter level and it will present a new list immediately. Very useful if you don't like the results chosen.

Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder (that's a real name).
I've tried a bunch. When you're attempting to manage thousands of images and really choose duplicates based off of the same image possibly being rotated, down-sampled, or even just finding based on image similarity, I've found nothing better than Visual Similarity Duplicate Images Finder. https://www.mindgems.com/
