Eject selection for usb

The eject selection for a usb stick works but does not show either progress or when completed. The entry as well as the icon for the drive disappears and the stick can then be removed. But having a notification that it can be removed worked in prior versions. Is there a setting to have a notification for eject?

Opus just passes the request on to Windows, and doesn't know if it succeeded or not (other than when it sees the drive letter go, if it does). In fact, in many cases Opus is just asking Windows to show the drive's context menu and not involved in even running the command or aware of which command (eject or otherwise) was ultimately selected.

Windows used to show a confirmation but maybe Microsoft changed that.

You should see the same thing if you do the ejection via File Explorer.

You could try the tip of aan01 from the post in the link. Another reason, according to that post could be, that you have the "quiet hours" activated on your machine.

For whatever it's worth, I get the Windows notification.

Thanks for the response. I now know where to look to solve the issue.

Thanks for the response. It was a notification setting. Focus assist was off but a specific notification setting was the culprit. Great to know that it is safe to remove visually.
