Thanks Michael. Had the ActiveX ... set to read .msg, but to no avail - in the viewer pane I just see the email addresses and heading (all in nice clear text and good formatting) but no body text.
I've just realised that it is only emails that were originally in HTML that give the problem. They are saved still as .msg files. If I rename one of them to file type .html, then I can see the body text in the preview pane but with very poor formatting and showing formatting text as well.
Emails that were originally sent in plain text, view OK.
Switching the .html viewer on or off doesn't help.
Out of desperation I loaded Quick Viewer 12 but that didn't fix things either.
This arises because I have emails stored in SharePoint 2010 sites and we have no viewer there for those.
So until this latest release of D Opus, I opened the folders through D Opus then used its viewer pane. Used to work really well but not now.
Anyone out there have any other suggestions please.
Opus doesn't handle .msg files itself, it's done by whichever preview handler or activex control you have installed. Something you installed may have taken over the filetype if what you see changed recently.
Which preview handler is listed for .msg files in the config window for the Opus ActiveX + Preview + Office + Web viewer plugin?
