Error when deleting files - DOpus 10

When I delete folders with many (thousands of) subfolders and files I often get this error (see attachment), often several times during a delete. In most cases it doesn't make any sense as there are absolutely no programs that are supposed to access these files in any way. I've tried to disable antivirus (Avast) completely but that doesn't help. I've never seen this happen when deleting files using Explorer.

I suspect it might be Opus itself (thread collision or something?) that stumbles over its own feet, can that be the case? Otherwise, what can cause it?

BTW, OS is Win XP SP3, and it happens on both my computers.

(I've been looking for a way to edit my first post, but can't find any options, is that not possible?)

Is that a folder rather than a file? (Does it happen with both files & folders or only with the folders or only the files?)

If you retry, does the delete then succeed?

(See the FAQs on why editing is disabled.)

I can confirm this bug in 10.0.1.0, it happens to me quite frequently, too. And also only when I delete thousands of (small) files or more. If I click retry, it deletes the file in question. I also suspect it is dopus stumbling over it's own feet. Running XP SP3.

Not really sure if it's files/folders/both so I made a test by copying a folder with 128.000 files to another drive and then deleting it again. I got 6 of these errors, though the dialog box says "file" they all look like folder names (i.e. no file extension). A couple of samples and the folder properties:

Oh yea, and it always deletes the file/folder when you click Retry, like rsn746352 also says.

Yes, looks like folders rather than files. (The error message comes from Windows and always says "file" even when it's not appropriate, unfortunately.)

The folders that it happens on, are they ones you've visited (or are still viewing) using Opus, or ones you have never been into or done anything with except try to delete them from a higher level?

Zenzai, which version of Opus are you using? And do you know if this only started happening recently or has happened for you for a while?

The drive(s) where this happens, are they normal local HDDs, network drives, external USB drives or?

Folders are not any I've visited or am viewing. In the test I made I just copied the main folder to another drive and then deleted it again without doing anything else.

Opus version is 10.0.1.0.4192.x86

Not sure if the problem started when I upgraded to 10.0.0, or when I updated to 10.0.1.

The drive I did the test on is a normal local SATA drive, so it don't seem to be network or USB related.

I haven't tried on XP yet but, using Opus 10.0.1.5 beta on Windows 7, I just deleted this folder without any errors at all:

Edit: Also tried an even bigger folder:
