From my local machine, I am downloading and saving files to a server and then creating descriptions (using the descript.ion system) that display in listers on my local computer. But, because the descriptions are saved in DOpus, and not in the files, they do not appear on the server. Is there an automated way to export them to a file and import them to DOpus on the lister?
The descript.ion method of storing comments writes them into a text file called "descript.ion" in the same directory as the files being described.
If you can't see the descript.ion files then you probably have turned on the option in Opus which hides them.
The files are a simple text format so it's easy to read and edit them by hand if you need to. Several other programs support the same format and should pick up the descriptions automatically when pointed at the same directory.
