I purchased and downloaded DO light today.
Upon installing, default toolbar was "File Display", although going into settings -> File Displays -> Border the "Display as a toolbar:" combobox was blank. Upon selecting something else, I noticed that "File Display" was not one of the available options, as seen from the screenshot I have attached.
Although I initially downloaded the latest stable, I then downloaded tha lastest beta, in hopes that this issue was fixed. But it wasn't.
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix?
In the mean time, can someone send me the "File Display" toolbar exported so I can import and use it?
I haven't used the Light version, but I might be able to help a bit. Do you have a Settings menu with a Toolbars sub-menu? If you do, the bottom of it has a Factory Reset Toolbars. Does that help?
That is a bug. We will get that fixed for the next update. Thank you for reporting it!
(I think it may only affect the Light version, or possibly both versions if the File Display toolbar has never been modified.)
As a temporary workaround, you can fix the problem as follows:
[ul][li]Locate your Opus configuration files.
You can do this by clicking the main file display in Opus, pushing Shift+Return to open a path field, and typing the /dopusdata alias, then hitting return.
(You can also type aliases into the location field, but if you're experiencing this problem then you probably don't have one! Shift+Return should still let you make one appear.)
If you need to locate the configuration folder manually, it is usually:

I guess light version don't provide that option. I'm seeing a very different menu.

I managed to get the "File Display" toolbar back with this modification. I can see it is only temporary, and I would have to remember not to mess with toolbar settings until the next update.
Any ETAs on the next beta?
The combobox will now only be there if the toolbar is set to something other than the default, to allow it to be set back. (And the "File Display" option will now be present in the drop-down to make it possible.)
If the default File Display toolbar is already selected then the drop-down won't be there now, as it wasn't actually supposed to be there at all.
(There were two bugs really: It wasn't meant to be there, and when it was there it didn't work properly, since it wasn't meant to be there. We still show it if the configuration has something else selected, so as not to leave configs stranded with a blank or non-default toolbar selected and no way to go back to normal.)
Just wanted to confirm it as well. I thought it was the Pro feature, that's why I wanted to protest. My original message to support email:
[quote]I just found a ‘bug’, or maybe it was set up by choice.
So I am testing the software and while by default Border for File Display is (oh, the irony), File Display toolbar, if I change it, I can’t get it back in Light version. I have to switch to pro demo in order to use it. Well, that’s “great”, but I want to buy a Light version and I would like you gave the option to turn this toolbar on in Light mode. It isn’t a big deal, but it doesn’t seem right if you give this by default and while changing it to something else you can’t get it back other way than reinstalling the software.
As a partial solution to that problem I duplicated File Display toolbar, and I can use the copy in Light version.
