File of 4 KB is noticed as 730.720 TB file

Hi,

I've just noticed a strange problem with the current DOpus version.

I have a couple of folders with several mp3 + the same amount of Apple OS descriptions for these files (all of them are typically 4 KB).

I used the find function to select all of the nonsense apple files at the same time and it lists 105 objects. When trying to delete them dopus asks whether I want to delete 730720 TB of data. That was quite a surprise as according to my mathematic courses 105 * 4 kb is slighly less than 730 petabyte and when I checked the size of my harddrives the last times, it didn't even exceed 1 PB :slight_smile:

So I did some research and found out that all files are ok except one which is shown as 4 KB but as soon as I try to delte it with another file dopus says 730.720 TB are to be deleted.

After copying this file to another partition the file on the other partition is ok.

Is there anyone interested in any more tests to find the problem? Is this dopus related or Windoze (Vista) related?

I still have the file on the harddisk.

I deleted some other files (not the one with the problem) but strangely now the problem has disappeared so there is no chance to reproduce it again :frowning:

But nevertheless it seems that dopus is getting file sizes in 2 different ways depending on the situation.

Is that using the standalone Find window with the output set to go to the Output Window? If so it's a known bug that doesn't affect using the newer Find Panel (Tools -> Find Panel) and/or outputing the results to a file collection instead of to the Output Window.

No problem. :slight_smile: A lot of people don't find the Find Panel at all as but once you know it's there it's much better, IMO.
