File Type sorting Data via NAS Drive

Hi,

In DOpus when we view icons, text and .exe files the behaviour changes when we use file types to sort the data.

In Windows explorer using the same method its fine.

Sorry couldn't find a solution in the manual or in the forum have we missed something.

Works here. You may have to explain what happens with you in more detail.

Hi,

Are you using the File Type Command to sort data in DOpus works if doing it by name but no good using size or type.

Top Image is explorer and buttom image is DOpus.

Not sure what you're saying here.

Your posts would be a lot easier to understand if all the sentences didn't run together without any punctuation between them.

Also, can you be more specific than "changes behaviour" / "no good"? What's actually not working as expected and what do you expect to be happening?

From the screenshot it looks like it is sorting by filetype fine (since all the files in the screenshot have the same filetype).

Only difference I can see is in the Explorer screenshot it has reversed the name-column's sort order (sorting Z-A) while in Opus it hasn't (sorting A-Z).

Hi,

Hope this is much better as we have no glass of red in our hand while making this post.

Here is a screen shot wtih on what is happening.

Its seems to be happening on external drives,usb jump drives and nas system.

Have we missed a setting in DOpus for this.

Try a search of preferences for "generic icons" and turn off that setting.

Who is this "We" you keep talking about ? Are you royalty ? Schizophrenic ? Or do you use Opus as a tag team match ?

Out of curiosity... if you search your prefs for display generic icons, what do you have set?

Edit: Same as Steve - lol tag team match...?
