I wanted to set up a filter so I could copy just .jpg files within folders. So: Settings/Preferences/File Operations/Filters > New > give name, OK. Then click "+" and change "Name" to "Type" then select "JPEG Image", then OK. If I now drag and drop a folder containing both .jpg file and other files, Opus copies nothing. However, if I define the filter as a Name match and specify "*.jpg" the filter works OK. So why doesn't it see my jpg files as "JPEG Image" files?

If you turn the Type column on (if it's not on already) and look at a JPEG file, is that the type it's actually reported as?
When you did the drag & drop, were you prompted for the filter? If not, another filter may have been in use (or no filter at all, although then everything would've been copied instead of nothing).
The column type shows it as "ACDSee Pro 3 JPEG Image". I was prompted for the filter when I did the drag & drop.
In that case you have to use that type in the filter, since ACDSee has assigned *.JPG to that instead of the usual "JPEG Image" type.
Unfortunately, the "ACDSee Pro 3 JPEG Image" does not appear as one of the options on the list of Types.
