The "filter in real-time" check doesn't stick in between sessions of dopus for me. Whenever I restart windows, I always have to recheck that option. I use saved layouts, and I even re-saved the layout with the check on, but the next time I start Windows and open DOpus, the check is gone again. I have a bunch of tabs open and it sticks for some of them, but not for others. I don't know how and why it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. If I locked the tab with the check off, and then checked it on, do I have to relock the tab so it gets saved with the check?
You have to edit the field's "Args" in customize mode if you want it to always use a particular mode:
