Find by File Type Group

I have read post that described how I can search for all image files by entering the name grp:Images. However that presents two issues.
Firstly, I have to remember and manually type that text. It would be nice to have that as one of the items in the Type dropdown box.
Secondly, if I know a partial name of an image file, I can't add that partial name in simple view once I have put grp:Images in. I must open Advanced find and enter both in there. Again, this could be so much simpler if Images could be one of the entries in the Type dropdown box. Obviously ditto for other type groups.

grp:images is just shorthand for *.(jpg|gif|png|...) based on whatever is in the file type group.

You can combine it with other wildcards, e.g. this will find all files with "2011" in their names and an image extension:

2011grp:images

Thanks leo. Actually thats kinda neat the way that works. Still, I would never have guessed it, and obviously didn't dig deep enough into how the app works to discover that. So I would still urge the developers to add add Images to the Types dropdown, to make it a bit more obvious. Cheers
