Have always had no issues double-clicking flac files in dopus and having them play in Foobar.
Today, I'm suddenly having a small window 'Play - Directory Opus' come up when double clicking the same. Identifies the file name, question marks about any file details and no playing of the file.
Checking file types, nothing has changed for flac i.e. set up to play in Foobar. Can still right click and have the Foobar option to play; and successful at that if elected.
What is going on with this? Thinking back, about 2 weeks ago I started having issues with rar files and double clicking; having to right click to open. Again, no other changes.
I want to check that out and it was unchecked. Saying that, I investigated Foobar vs Opus and found that all of my file selections in Foobar had been unchecked. Not certain what was/is going on there, but checked the ones that I wanted - including FLAC - closed Foobar, opened DOpus and the double click/play on flac worked perfectly.
Not certain how the unchecking of Foobar occurred (just in the last day as it worked fine just after Xmas). I really hadn't been using my computer much over the past couple days). But tell me if a program selected to play a sound file isn't set up to play, is DOpus programmed to automatically use its internal player?
by the way, appreciate the quick suggestion. thanks
