On my toolbar I have a Flat View button, which is really a menu (not a menu button), which opens a menu showing the three different Flat View options, plus the option to turn off Flat View. I would like to have an indicator that tells me when a Flat View mode is selected in the current tab. The buttons inside my Flat View menu are shaded when they are selected, but once the menu closes, there is no indication that I am in one of the Flat View modes. Can this be done? Perhaps by shading the Flat View menu in my toolbar if one of the Flat View modes is selected?
Just put a Flat View button directly on your toolbar and it will behave the same as the buttons within the menu.
Ah, yes, but then I will need to add three buttons, one for each of the modes, plus an Off-button. I was hoping to keep the number of buttons down by having this menu.
or you could make it a menu button where the primary button has default arguments with the toggle option ... this seems to work for me
Hah, pure genius! This does exactly what I want. Thanks!
