I have been using DOPUS 9.5 for over a year and suddenly, I have a toolbar on my desktop that I cannot get rid of. Closing DOPUS, restarting the computer, etc. doesn't get rid of it. Attached picture of it.
How did it get there and how can I get rid of it?
Thanks.
In trying to get rid of the floating bar, I moved into position in DOPUS hit Lock. Now it is stuck in the middle of my desktop and cannot be moved.
Go to Settings / Customize, on the Toolbars tab select ListerMenu and uncheck the Floating option.
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I have tried that but all of the options are grayed out and I cannot change anything. I can check and uncheck the various toolbars on the left but nothing on the right (Background, Images & Labels).
You have to select the appropriate toolbar (the one that is floating) in the list (on the left) before you can modify its settings (on the right).
Thanks again but I cannot seem to make it work. Attached is a screenshot showing that Lister Menu is grayed out and clicking on it does nothing.
Perhaps I need to reinstall DOPUS which I am reluctant to do because it is setup nicely now with QuickView so that I can view the files I work with.
Re-read what I originally said...
I have done the following a number of times:
Go to Settings / Customize, on the Toolbars tab select ListerMenu and uncheck the Floating option.
This got rid of the floating tool bar. Closing and reopening the lister works fine.
If, on the other hand, I EXIT from DOPUS and then double-click on the desktop, the lister opens with the tool bar floating and I have to repeat the instructions all over again to "unfloat" it. Why doesn't DOPUS remember the settings?
Make sure Preferences / Toolbars / Options / Save state of floating Toolbars automatically on exit is turned on.
That did it!
Thank you for your patience in helping me solve this issue. In the process, I have learned a great deal about the complex abilities of this great program.
