Folder Alt-double-click default

Hello Jon...

"the alt-double-click action for folders now defaults to Go NEWTAB to open the double-clicked folder in a new tab"

Is it feasible to make this new behaviour a Preferences option, such that the Alt key is not required to achieve this effect?

Given my choice, I would like to open double-clicked folders in a new tab much more often than not, so I would prefer the Alt key to be required only when the folder is to be opened in the current tab.

However, I acknowledge that others may prefer the way you have it now, hence my suggestion of a Preferences option to change it.

Hey there Bernard; not speaking for Jon but...

You should be able to achieve what you want by editing the 'All folders' file types' dblclk event from the default go to the new Go NEWTAB, and similarly reassign the dblclkalt events' function to just plain go.
