Folder Format Filters

I am starting to make use of filters on path folder formats to hide files I'm not generally interested in. An example of this is .bak files that are automatically created when I save some text files I routinely edit.

Occasionally I want to momentarily disable the filter to get to one or more of the filtered files (e.g. a .bak file I want to recover from).
Is there a quick way to temporarily disable the folder format filter without having to go into the folder format preferences dialogs?

Also, I really like the way I can change the background colour of the file display when the quick filter is active as it gives me an immediate visual notification that the filter is active without having to look down at the more subtle status bar information. Is it possible to have this option to change the background colour extended to include folders that have an active filter as part of a folder format?

You can use Clear Local Name Filters in the Folder Options menu to clear filters set by path formats.

You can also make the status bar hidden text red (or include some icons or other eye-catching things/colors) to make it stand out more. The file display background color option is only for the quick filter, however.

A few of these things are shown and discussed in the 10.0.3.1 highlights video (the link should jump to 1m59s where the relevant section begins).

Thanks Leo.

I already use colours in the status bar to make hidden files stand out but you can't beat the whole file display background changing colour for getting your attention. I'm sure it will be low priority but any chance you could add it as a feature request - maybe as an added colour option "When folder format filter is active" alongside "When quick filter is active"?
