I want to set background color of active and non-active folder tabs, but the configuration doesn't work. The text color does work, but the background color doesn't.
Oh, and folder tabs still doesn't display properly the folder icon. Like DOpus 8, it is displayed sometimes (although rarely).
If Preferences - Listers - Folder Tabs: Use Visual Styles under XP/Vista is turned on then you can't change the tab colours. Turn if off and you should be able to.
I'm not aware of any problems with the tab icons. If I remember correctly there was a problem with non-standard titlebar sizes/fonts that broke the icons but that was fixed a few versions ago. ranma172, are you using Opus 9.0.0.5?

That's the choice you have. If the visual styles are used then there's no control over the colours.
Next time the icons fail to show please take a screenshot and post it here.
Actually, I have been experiencing the same behavior with folder tab icons ever since Opus 8 (i.e. icons hardly ever show up on folder tabs). Here is a screenshot to illustrate; all I did between the two states is I double-clicked the Amiga Files folder to open it into the second tab.
I would have expected the custom icon to be displayed at the two locations indicated by the arrows.
The reason I did not post this earlier is that this is such a small annoyance that I thought it wasn't worth the hassle, but, you know, if others are bothered, too...
PS: My custom icons are specified in desktop.ini inside each folder, with folder attributes set to read only (or system). The desktop.ini files look something like this:

I thought ranma172 was talking about icons not appearing at all, rather than default icons appearing instead of custom icons (which was already reported a little while ago).
