13.6.6 still does not allow for "Expand sub-folders on hover" if "Single click over icon only (normal behavior on labels" is selected. These are still coupled.
The "Expand sub-folders on hover" functionality would be far more useful if it were separated from the single click functionality.
A less desired alternative would be if it were allowed when "Single click over icon only (normal behavior on labels" was enabled. In this case, please allow for both of these to be in effect if both are selected. It only makes sense that if you select a checkbox it takes effect.
As it is now in 13.6.6, I'm with Ravendarhk. I've turned off single click all together.
I do not use single click to open anything - although I might try it if only the icon was a single click. I prefer double clicking to mitigate any accidental openings, because I have done it for so long and because I work on many computers where double clicking is mandatory and I have no authority to change it.
I, too, like to "expand on hover" functionality to peek inside and leave folders and subfolders more quickly.
I continue to request the separation of "expand on hover" and "single click" functionality.
