FTP and folders with hash character "#"

Hi,

I would like to report an issue with folders starting or ending with the # character.

As soon as a folder is named like #Test or Test# for instance it is not accessible through FTP and it cannot be renamed either.

This issue can be reproduced with DOpus 9.x and 10.x

Thank you in advance for a fix or a workaround.

Stéphane

Confirmed. I've filed a bug report.

Thanks!

Here's a workaround which made things work for me at least. Turn on the Use MLST option for the FTP site:

Hi leo,

Unfortunately, I already have the MLST option turned on but it does not work in my case.

Any ETA on when this will be fixed?

Thanks.

It's possible we're both seeing different issues in that case. I also just realised I can create #Test but not Test# (unless I switch to MLST mode, where both work).

Reproducing what you're seeing may require connecting to the same (type of) FTP server that you're using.

Would you be able to send any details about the FTP server to GPSoftware Support? That's also the place to get an ETA.

I will see what I can find about the ftp server I am connected to.

Once you have a folder named as Test# for instance, can you rename it? Can you enter in? Can you delete it?

Because for me, I can see it (but without the ending # so I only see "Test") and I cannot go in or do anything with it.

Thanks.

The Test# folder appears as Test for me as well, until I switch to MLST mode.

Folders called #Test work fine, however.

When you checked MLST mode, was that for the actual site entry, not for the Default Settings entry at the top? The site entry may override the defaults so it's the one to check.

I just overrode the default settings by turning on the MLST option on the actual site settings but no more luck.
