Something is screwing up my FTP connection when using åäö as folder/filenames. I haven't quite yet figured out how this happens, but I've had this problem since I bought DOpus almost exactly one year ago.
The description of my problem would be that under some circumstance Directory Opus lose the åäö's of folders and filenames (they are not visible in the Lister) and truncates the names.
For instance the folder "Sågbladständer" will be shown as "Sgbladstnder".
Now, if it was only for the fact that the folder name shown was the only problem I wouldn't mind very much, but it actually affects the way FTP operation works. The result will be that I will not be able to browse any of the originally named åäö folders that now have been truncated, until I completely disconnect and reconnect to the FTP server.
I'm using Gene6 as my FTP server and I've used several different FTP clients without experiencing any of these problems described.
Any thoughts on this? Are there some more structurised tests you would like me to perform?
