Ftp caching

How can I disable the ftp caching?

When I change into a directory, go back, switch again into the directory and something has changed I can not see the changes (without reloading).

Can I disable this caching?

This 'situation' has produced a great problem in our production environment ...

While I can't answer definitively (I'm not GPSoft), as far as I know the FTP directories are always cached, for the duration of the connection, to avoid re-reading them all the time. You have to push F5 to refresh them.

Any solution in the meantime? Still having problems:

How can I disable the FTP caching?

I always have great troubles with the catching situations during my daily work.

I'm looking on a FTP. 4 files there. My partner on the phone who works with another tool says - no there are 6 files. I try to reload - no there are 4 files. After pressing RELOAD multiple times I see 6 files.

Also when I've visited a directory, delete a file via SSH, try to copy the directory (+ sub dirs) to my PC I receive an error "Can't copy file".

Every time I'm having these issues.

It seems to me that the first press on RELOAD does not work!

So please - is there any chance to disable the FTP caching to avoid all problems? I can't find it in the FTP account settings.

Thanks a lot,
Robert

If you are using Dopus 9, you can disable caching on FTP's in the "Advanced" tab under "Miscellaneous" (See image).
