FTP to MTP copy failure

When I try to copy a file from FTP (or SFTP via SSH) site to MTP device an error window like this appears:


which translates to "System is unable to write to specified device. (29)" or to "System cannot write to specified device. (29)".

There is no problem when the file is being copied from FTP to HDD, or from HDD to MTP. copy_nonbufferio_threshold is set to default 0 MB.
The problem happens for two devices which I was able to check. Sony Xperia J ST26i and Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo.

Due to limitations of MTP, that is not a supported combination of source/dest folders.

As with files inside archives and other virtual filesystems, you will need to download/extract them to a normal folder before copying them to an MTP device.

I was afraid that it is DOpus bug. Good to know that it is not such case.
