Getting same config files for two separate installs

I understand that the license allows two separate computers to be used (with one user).

I'm trying to see an easy way to have both copies work identically. So far it is more complicated than I see should be needed. I have to locate several files on box 1 and them copy/replace those on box 2 and all that.

Originally I thought I'd look around and see how to solve my mini-issue. Looks like it's not as clearcut as I thought it might be.

From my snooping around TPTB are trying to finger out how to make this simple as in "automatic." IMHO "Automatic" is a Bad Thing. You screw up, it automatically replicates it over and over and a PIA becomes a major problem. And a quick CYA fix becomes impossible.

But here it's just me and a couple homemade boxes.

I use an email client out of Romania called "The Bat" and this app can create a "backup" file that includes virtually everything, config, account histories, preferences, etc. One can simply copy this file and restore it from time to time to get matters in synch. In my case, no ort cloud or magic powders are needed. Every now and then I create one of these and stick it on the NAS I've found to be so handy. A couple times I've found it useful to reload, from the NAS, that config file when something craps in the code on the machine I'm using at the moment and a reinstall is needed.

Anyway...that's not solving my issue and probably not anyone else's either.

You can use Settings --> Backup and Restore to do this. Once you have your desired configuration on System A, back it up and then restore the backup file to System B. They will then look and behave identically, for the most part. If you make use of buttons that depend on specific userIDs and/or disk layouts then these will not work identically.
