some of my tabs are locked with folder changes, but I often switch to another tab and when going back I want to see the last shown folder (not the locked one). I only need (but need) the locked folder when clicking on the tab (some kind of "reset"), so is there an option to "go back" between different tabs remembering the last folder in locked tabs (e.g. with "mousebutton-back + shift")?
Open folder in new tabs is no option, because I don't want to have too much tabs open (for a better overview).
Alternatively it would be useful to lock tabs with folder changes, but when clicking on the tab it should only go to the locked folder when pressing shift, ctrl, etc. additionally (or otherwise keep the last folder).
Maybe a solution is a button/hotkey you can click which goes to a different folder for each tab (e.g. "if in tab 0 on the right, go to x; if in tab 1 on the right, go to y"). Then you have full control over when to reset the folder and when to leave it as it is.
It could also be put on the folder background double-click event, if you're not already using that for something else.
It would be nice if DO could add functionality to mitigate this issue.
Current Locked Tab > navigate to a sub-folder then click another tab to check info or maybe copy from it and click on the previous tab and it is moved back to the top of the directory. If it could be a double click or a shit+click that would be great.
