If you want to request features (like a command that lets you create a hotkey to select+advance, which seems like a good idea) then write to GPSoftware.
(I'm pretty sure that ".." will never be added -- it's seen as an anachronism -- but you can always try to make your case for it being better than all the alternatives.)
