I have (had) dopus declared as a replacement of explorer.exe "for all but the following folders".
But, when I rightclick on the network icon in the start menu & choose properties (which is suppose to bring up the network connections), it just opens a new empty tab in dopus.
and I can't bring it back to normal! I tried selecting "Don't replace Explorer", closing dopus, nothing works (didn't try to reboot - yet)
I've changed the "folder" filetype handling changed so it opens a new folder in a new tab in dopus ... it might be the problem.
But I don't have the original setting. Can someone help me?
Can I have both things (ie, have new folders open in a new tab, and yet explorer.exe handling on some specific folders) ?
Thinking about it it sounds difficult.
If you rename HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder to something else (or delete it if you feel confident) and then import the .reg file in the attached .zip then it should restore you to the default Folder settings. (I think with Opus as the default handler, but you should be able to change it back via Preferences then.) HKCR_Folder.zip (1.58 KB)
So, the change from a DDE command to an app call with the newtab tag isn't something good to do (for folders at least - I know, I asked for zips the first time )
It means, we need a setting in dopus to open new tabs always instead of new windows!
Would you back up such a feature?
