Hidden files appearing

Hi guys,

When using Commander mode, in the left lister I have a load of AutoCAD files (.dwg) and a similar amount of backup files (.bak). I have the folder setup to hide the (*.bak) files which works fine.


Properties for left hand lister.

In the right lister I have a load more .dwg files. If I filter out any of the files in the right lister and then switch back to the left lister, the hidden files in the left lister are now displayed. If I go up a level and then back into that folder the hidden files are no longer shown... strange!


Left lister selected and displaying correctly.


Right lister selected and displaying properly.


Right lister displaying filtered files only.


Back to the right lister and the hidden files are now shown.

I've tested this several times on both the full and USB version with the same results.

Surely this a bug...?

Any help would be much appreciated.

When you say you switch back to the left side, how are you doing that? Just by clicking on the list of files itself, or by clicking on something else (e.g. a style or folder tab)?

Yes, simply clicking on the lister or the files.

Has anyone else managed to recreate this problem...?

@Leo, where can I upload my images to in future...? I've just realised that ImageShack is blocked in work, therefore I, and many other users, can't see any of the images.

You can attach images to replies here without using a third party image host.

In your video, how were the files on the left side hidden? (They are hidden from the start of the video and appear at the end, so it's not clear.)

Hi Leo, they are hidden using the "hide filter" option in the folder properties dialog box, as shown in the first image of this post.
