Hidden folders in image

When I open an image created with Macrium Reflect, it creates a new drive, where the folders and files of the image are shown. I tried to show hidden files for a folder in that new drive (Folder options -> Show Hidden Files), but it did not work.

I copied the folder that contains what I wanted to show, but could not show hidden folders/files there either. I doubt very much that hidden folders are not imaged, because the image is of the disk, not individual folder and files.

Leo, would you have any idea what is going on? I must have done this before, without problems (it has to do with showing the folder AppData in Users > Username, whic is, of course, cruscial that one can access when replacements by backed up/imaged files and folders are necessary).

By the way, global filter not hiding Hidden files did not work either.

In Microsoft Explorer, AppData appeared.

That is the wrong thing to use, as I was just saying in your other thread today.

If you specify something in the "Show Filter" under Folder Options, then only things that match what you have specified will be shown. And only if they aren't also being hidden by something else.

For example, if you set the Show Filter to *.jpg, then only *.jpg files will be shown (and only ones that aren't being hidden by some other filter or setting).

If you set it to Hidden files, then only hidden files will be shown (and only if something else isn't hiding them).

If you set it to *.jpg and Hidden files, then only *.jpg hidden files will be shown (and only if something else isn't hiding them).

There are lots of reasons files may be hidden, depending on how you have configured Opus.

Use the Show Everything feature added in Opus 12 to quickly disable all of them at once and show all files. Details here.

When I looked for "Everything", I saw, in red, "25 hidden files" or something like that. Clicking on it unhid what I wanted.

Thanks!
