feature request : global hide file extension, please.
You can already do this via Folder Formats, on a per format basis. Is there a reason you want a global option?
Am using folder formats atm. Just an idea to save time going through the formats I want to change. On the subject, I notice that the extension has also been removed from the tooltip is there a way to keep it in the tooltip whilst removing it from the file display. (Good for thumbnail views)
If you're removing the extension from all folder views but want it in tooltips, you could explicitly add it to the tooltips. (Almost any file display column, including the extension column, can be used in tooltips.)
