I do not understand such errors in coding for a program that people pay money for... should not happen to begin with.

That does not happen here. The help window closes with the rest of the program and dopus.exe is no longer running afterwards. Opus 12.2.
Directory Opus Pro 12.2.5 (Beta) Build 6152 x64
OS 6.1 (B:7601 P:2 T:1) SP 1.0 "Service Pack 1"
Just in case: Its about exiting Opus completely by explicit command, not only closing the lister window.
I've tried on three machines now and can't make it happen on any of them. (Two Windows 10 machines, one Windows 7.)
Here's an example, in case I am doing the wrong thing:
If you right-click dopus.exe in Task Manager / Details when it appears to be hung, and choose Create Dump File, as shown at the end of the video, then zip and send the result to leo@gpsoft.com.au then I might be able to see what it is waiting on.
Ok, seems to be what I am doing. The only difference is that I don't get the security confirmation dialog when exiting. I assume I disabled that, if its possible to do that. I will create the dump when I am back at work.
Hmm, the dmp file has over 200 MB and as a zip it still has 81.19 MB.
That seems a little heavy for e-mailing. What should I do?
Unfortunately I found that today it does not happen always. I'd say its about half-n-half. Sometimes everything closes fine for a couple of tries in a row, at other times the process and the chm window (the main gui lister window always closes) get stuck for a couple of other tries in a row and still at other times its a mix (closes fine - stuck - stuck - closes fine - closes fine - stuck - ...).
I keep having problems with Dopus not closing right every now and then (under varying circumstances).
The dump file seems tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo large as mentioned.
What am I supposed to do??
If the zipped dump is too large to email, there are various free cloud storage services which also allow file sharing. You could use one of them and then email us a link.
e.g. DropBox or OneDrive.
alrighty, thx for the feedback
might do that if it gets toooooooooooooo annoying
