When using the latest version of Dopus Light, my hotkey preferences do not persist after I close and restart the application.
This occurs when I use settings -> customize toolbars -> keys. In this case I am disabling the hotkey ctrl + N to create a new folder and replacing it with the hotkey ctrl + shift + n.
The setting takes effect until I close and restart the app. I then must go through the steps listed above to set it again each time I run the portable version of the app off of my USB drive.
In the first image you can see that I have unchecked the default hotkeys which are conflicting with the hotkeys that I want to set:
After restarting the application, the unchecked hotkeys are now checked again
This is half a bug and half a limitation of Opus Light compared to Pro.
Limitation:
In Opus Light, elements of the default toolbars cannot be edited, which includes the New Folder button and the hotkeys attached to it.
That is why the hotkeys in the Toolbars category from the standard toolbars are greyed-out and cannot be edited by double-clicking like the things in the Hotkeys category.
Bug:
There is also a bug in Opus Light where it allows you to toggle the checkbox on the left of those greyed-out lines from the default toolbars. This is confusing and the UI isn't meant to allow it, because the change won't be saved to disk.
We've fixed this for the coming 12.8.2 update.
Opus Light lets you add new lister hotkeys, as you're doing, but you'll need to avoid hotkeys which are already in use by the default toolbars to avoid clashing with them.
(Opus Pro allows the hotkeys on the default toolbars to be changed or removed, so none of the above applies to the Pro version.)
